Asopinae of the World ver. 1.0 is the result of an effort to gather distribution data of Asopinae species around the World. These data are freely available for download.
Using data from the literature and museum specimens, we recorded 5030 records (after excluding duplicates) for 299 species of Asopinae and made them available in Roell et al 2025. The original database is at the section “Raw Data”, with 5831 records and as Supplementary Material 2. We hope to further expand the database, as more species and records are described. Here, you can check the species we compiled, and the number of records for each one. There is also a plot showing how many species we compiled for each adminstrative regions (GADM, 2024, see Roell et al 2025). Across the website, you can also visualize a map with all records, check the raw data and download it, find the bibliography used to compile the data, and find the contacts of the collaborators.
We emphasize that some records are georeferenced only according to the country reported for the species, as well as records that are the only ones known for a given species in a country.
